Word. I def think we need some type of boogie board inclusion in this one though.

Questions, How would a dodgeball rodeo be judged? How are we going to insure that none of the dodgeballs end up down stream? Who will bring the dodgeballs? etc....

There seems to be a lot to consider? Possibly too complicated for me...

I'm leaning towards a boogie board event....but then again, who has boogie boards to bring? flippers?

I'm confused.

You make some type of point system to judge the freestyle competition on, and for every dodgeball the rider gets hit with (maybe like 5-10 pelts per rider max) you take away -5 points or something like that. Have a couple boaters in the water ready to retrieve balls and throw them back at shore. You don't necessarily have to use official dodgeballs.

Boogie board comp would be fun though.

In the spirit of the middle of September a costume rodeo throwdown could be fun.

Even better yet a costume themed dodgeball boogie board rodeo competition.

instead of dodging balls  we could get the fire department to come down and use their water canon :hammer: :hammer: ... now that would be awesome... maybe a couple of hoses at the same time :hammer: :hammer: ... I'm thinkin they could knock a fool over...

I think I like the costume rodeo idea. But to be fair to Joe and to add some fun for non-participants...It will be a costumed dodgeball rodeo/surf session. I'll need someone to volunteer to bring some of the dodgeballs/absorbant dodgeballs. We'll need some volunteers to wrangle said dodgeballs after they're thrown, etc...

So, come up with a killer costume and come ready to be pelted while you surf. Of course I'll need some judges for the costumes and the rodeo portion.

Since it was a tag-team effort on the idea, both Joe and Matt will receive some free Mountain Khakis!!! Way to go guys!!

Start thinking about those costumes...this will make some great video and an even weirder rodeo!
