BUFFALO RIVER EXCEL SPREAD SHEET -Updated Sep 22 2009
Thank you Terry (GutIt) for showing me how to do this.
This is a work in progress spread sheet for the Buffalo River.
There are three sheets. I may add more later on.
Mileage - The Yellow CELLS with Blue lettering at the top are linked to the gages and other info.
Click on the desired CELL to access the described link.
In the Light Blue column, under the heading "Trip Miles", you can place a zero in the Cell next to where you plan to put on the Buffalo. It will then recalculate all points below that one. So if you were putting on at Woolum you would enter a zero next to Woolum. If you were taking out at Baker Ford, it would tell you how far you would travel from Woolum to Baker Ford. A word of Caution! Don't save the worksheet. To change the Cell value back to where it was copy the cell above to the changed cell.
Hyperlinks & Phone - The Hyperlinks are redundant to the ones contained at the top of "Mileage" page. I will be adding some in the future. Phone numbers are for the most part NPS numbers
Campgrounds - Is taken from "Currents" and expanded to include unpublished campgrounds. I will add White River campgrounds later
If you have suggestions, let me know and I may incorporated them.

We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

Very cool, Richard.
At first glance I can see you have put a lot of thought and effort into this thing. And it looks good, too. Thank you for sharing it with us.
It now resides in my River Beta Master Folder in the Buffalo sub folder. Played with it a little I am liking it. Everything you really need on one spread. And I'm not really much of an Excel guy. But my Lovely & Charming is. I can see now why you needed it to be posted as an Excel file.
Thank you again, Richard.
Very cool indeed.

Re: BUFFALO RIVER EXCEL SPREAD SHEET
Richard,
Evidently you are using a newer version of Excel & Vista operating system.
What are the chances of you opening your spreadsheet and saving it as Excel 2000??? I have office 2000 on my pc with XP operating system.
Would love to have your spreadsheet!!

Re: BUFFALO RIVER EXCEL SPREAD SHEET
A friend of mine told me he downloaded a compatibility pack from Microsoft. Free.
I think there are of couple of these since 2000. Try Microsoft's website. This buddy of mine had trouble with my 2007 files.
Just a theory!
