Does Arkansas in Arkansas and Arkansas in Colorado count as one or two? :lightning:

Good question, Richard.

I count each river only once since that's how I started, and that suits my interests. Others may count differently. Since I've done Ouachita in Louisiana and Arkansas, I still count that as one. Others may like to count it differently. Same for sections of rivers. I count Little Missouri as one, even though I've paddled Albert Pike - Hwy 84; 84 - Greeson; Narrows to Murfreesboro. I do plan to make a sub-list of "recognized sections" paddled. That'd acknowledge your question, and be interesting to see.

I do count "forks" that are recognized separately on maps by cartographers. Illinois Bayou from Bayou Bluff down would be one, north fork a second, middle fork a third. Or Little Buffalo one, EFLB another (of course that's one I'll never do unless they dump my ashes in it and they float down it)!! That would bring up a question on "Hailstone." Is that on a map in that name? I'd probably make an exception for that if not.

All this has got me expanding my list of "possibles" and will get me on many more rivers. Thanks everyone.

In Missouri
Current, Jacks Fork, North fork of white, Bryant creek, James, Finley, Gasconade, Osage fork of Gasconade, Eleven point, Bull, Swan, Beaver, Cane creek, Woods fork, South fork Camp creek, Grand Glaize, Meremac, Bear creek, Flat Creek, Roaring River, Big sugar, Spring river, Big Piney,Sac river,Pomme de Terre, Niangua, White river below table rock,

In Arkansas
Buffalo, Upper War eagle, Little Buffalo, Lower richland, Mullberry, Falling water, Long creek, Bear creek near Omaha

This was a fun excercise to get me to remember many trips long past. It also made me realize how I will probably never get to run all the rivers on my to do list unless I somehow become wealthy and don't have to work anymore. Nevertheless I think I have done pretty good.

Good point Ricky on the Oklahoma paddling. I have been wanting to put up a post for about a week now and just have not had the time. Who has paddled the most rivers/creeks in Oklahoma. I have come up with 23 to this point. I may come up with one or two more if I think hard. I have come up with 63 total, but again could possibly be a few more out there that I am forgetting. New post on the Oklahoma runs coming soon!

Dale, I think the first time i met you was on the Mulberry. Might wanna include that one too.

one or more sections of the following:

AR
Big Piney, Mulberry, Buffalo, Cadron, Archey, South Fork LR, Richland, Strawberry, Spring, Little Red, Big Creek, another Big Creek, Salado, Pine Mt. Creek, Illinois Bayou, Middle fork IB, Ouachita, Cossatot, Saline below Dierks, Little MO below Greeson Dam.

CO
Arkansas, Rio Grande, North fork Henson Creek.

MO
St. Francis, Current, Jacks Fork, Eleven Point

NC
Nanny, Tuckaseegee

TX
Guadalupe, Paluxy

OK
Illinois

Small list of 32 rivers and some of these include several different sections. Got about 30 more harder creeks I'd like to get in the next 2 or 3 years.

Quit counting years ago. I kind of prefer looking at the number of days on the water. Over the last couple of years, this has hovered around the 300 mark.

Glad to see Louisiana score some recognition. Thanks Renee. This is so much fun!!

My modest 28 includes 13 in Looziana: Bayou DeLoutre, Corney Bayou, Darbonne Bayou, Saline Bayou ( US Wild and Scenic Stream!!), Black Lake Bayou, Dorcheat, Clarke's Bayou, Bayou Bodcau, Red Chute, Red River, Bayou Pierre, Whiskey Chitto River, Mississippi River. I'll be adding Mississippi's Okatoma, Magees Creek, Strong River, Black Creek in October. My all time best day on any river is probaby the French Broad River in North Carolina, Section 9, Bernard to Hot Springs, NC, (class III IV-). BIIIIIG drops for a class II boater.
Keep those lists coming!
