Smallie Fishing

Anyone know the closest river for smallmouth fishing from Conway is? I've heard Cove Creek is but have NEVER caught one. Just wondering...

I've never fished in the Conway area. I live in Clinton about 300 yards from S. Fork of the Little Red. My wife has been seriously ill -- I took a break and fly fished a couple of hours this morning. Caught and released a fish about every three minutes -- all were small. A couple of smallmouth, the rest were a mix of war-mouth, bream, and perch.
