Educational Oportunities?

Post by AR-Nimrod » Mon Jun 08, 2009 3:07 pm

We didn't make Rec School (didn't get scheduling settled until it was too late). Was wondering are there are going to be any more schools or classes for newbies this year?

Yes, the canoe club will probably have a flat-water school in August. Also, if you see any of my posts for floats on the Caddo or Ouachita rivers for the rest of the Summer, they will most likely be at lower levels and be fairly friendly for some ' most impromptu' instruction.

Best Regards
Jim

I will keep a lookout for those posts about floats on Caddo and Ouachita. Also, for the flat water session. Clif, now that she's reaching that age there are times when I almost wish my daughter was ugly....NOT

If that one day flatwater clinic is offered, go for it. It was a great intro for us, which we then followed up with some fall and spring floats and then rec school and now feel pretty comfortable in all but true whitewater environs and have met some nice folks.
