Great time at Dierks! Thanks for Harlan's crew for the food, and thanks to Tom the campground host for helping us out. Great water level and good folks to boot. Can't beat it! :hammer:

If I come next weekend, I'll try to drag some piney creeks folks with me. Thanks again!

It was a fun weekend! The Louisiana crew knows how to throw a party. I think we had 5 states represented as far as paddlers go - AR, LA, TX, OK and TN. This weekend's level was awesome even for the 3rd hole  Hopefully, it will be the same for next weekend. See you all there!

Oh, and Cowper, we missed ya. I thought you and Zach were coming?

question for tom, our campground host-
when checking in an getting my day use pass i noticed the sign said $1 per person, $3 max per vehicle, but $4 boat launch- if i'm there for the day jus to play the holes, do i pay the boat launch and the day pass? the 3$ max? if i have a friend is it $4 each if in the same vehicle?
not complaining cause it is definitely worth supporting such a great place.

To everyone that came this past weekend. Janet and I enjoyed watching you guys and meeting you as much as you enjoyed coming! Janet and have been talking about having some type of register of just who all comes to these things. Nothing to do with the park just something for us.
I know that at one time we had 19 tents plus one hammock set up between 7, 10 and 11. Any one have an est. on just how many showed up over the three days?

I came up with 51 boaters in the 2 days (Saturday and Sunday), but I wasn't there Friday, so there could have been more. That is 51 boaters, that's not including all the family members and kids of the folks boating. Also, that number includes the boaters that day tripped.

And Tom, I think you are gonna be sad when they shut the water off - you will have to start coming to Rockport on the weekends

Renee,

Thanks for the count. I know that there was two that was there on Fri., they left on Sat. They were in the pavilion. That would be 53. Did you include the four at site 7?

I wish I could come to Rockport but to do the job here some one must be here! That can be a bummer at times.
