Tyler Bend & Buffalo Point campgrounds have showers. A good family section is Highway 14 Bridge to Rush. It's about 9 miles. Maumee South or Maumee North to Highway 14 is also a good section (9.4 to 9.9 miles). A good short trip is from Tyler Bend to Gilbert (5.6 miles). Water levels make a big difference in the trip. I recommend that you check out the NPS publication "Currents" updated for 2009. It has lots of information including recommended water levels, campgrounds, outfitter names & phone numbers. You can get the publication & other info from the NPS website: http://www.nps.gov/buff/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Click on "Site Index" in the left margin. Currents is listed under "Plan Your Visit" on that page.

I have used Wild Bill's Outfitter to run some of my shuttles on the lower river.

The Buffalo is a fantastic place. I hope you and your family have a terrific trip.
