But an OC-1 but still open boating I guess. There are some really funny raft carnage vidoes on the Zambezi as well.

I think there was an article on that in a recent Paddler magizine. It was not white water, but did have its risks and thrills.

I can't even imagine an open boat running the numbers...might as well start at minus #2...if that goes well, the rest will be easy! lol

Don't know if they HAVE done it, but I talked to Steve Fisher about running the river in an open boat several years ago. (Yeah I know, name dropping like a big dog.) He said if you had the skill, he didn't see why not. He did say you might want to walk around #9 "Commercial Suicide". The biggest problem would be the cost of shipping your open boat to the put in as far as I am concerned. I would trade a body part for the chance, even if I ended up swimming every last rapid on the river. I have the video "Raft Slambezi, and it is great fun to watch. Just got back from India yesterday and saw some steep creeker wet dream runs. Even saw some runs I could do. I'm looking for sponsors to fund my next trip to India if any of you guys would like to kick in a few thousand bucks. I promise some killer carnage video where I will be screaming like a little girl.
