And for those thinking of asking where it is,

N34.14 W94.092 (Degrees and decimal degrees)

Even if you don't have a gps, most programs like MapQuest or Google Earth will let you "cut and paste" those coordinates, then help you pull up a map of the area. For mapquest, click on "find by lat/long", then enter the Lat as 34.14, the Long as -94.092.

Aw, heck, I can make it even easier:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/l=34.14000;g=-94.092" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Trash: Get a little every time you go!

Actually that is the old writeup from the original construction. Not quite the same, It was re-worked a year or so later. See americanwhitewater.org for current info.

Yes, Tim I was embarrassed about that too :roll: But that is why I was trying to send everyone away and not make a big production - I slowly but surely would have gotten my "own" self out of the Falls. Scott apparently didn't want to wait another hour for my stubborn a** to hobble out and he carried me - YES THAT WAS EMBARRASSING!!!! (but I was appreciative) :oops: Swimming, on the other hand, especially in my case is gooberish. I know how to roll - I just don't always make an effort and give up too easily.

Sounds like a good party in the making. Are there grills on site or can someone bring a portable grill? Might be a good time to incinerate and consume some dead animal flesh. Some "carne" to go with the carnage, so to speak. :)
Let there be rain!

From a picnic table at Horseshoe campground - Release is 950 from the dam, 1st wave is surfable but flushy, Second is fast and 3rd is a MONSTER! Was fun last night, and should be fun all weekend. Come on down and expand you mind!
