Fish,

Sorry for your loss. Soafy was as sweet a dog as I've ever met.

I have never laid eyes on Soafy, but to hear others tell about her she must have been an amazing friend. Sorry for your loss.

Fish,

It's hard for me to post anything because this is too close to home...

Like you, I've been blessed to have The Best Dog Ever in my life. All dogs are great, but I believe every now and then a Truly Special dog comes into a person's life that is just exactly The Right Dog. Soafy was Your Perfect Dog...Pancho is My Perfect Dog. Pancho's having some scary medical issues right now so I'm standing a little too close for comfort to what you are tragically dealing with right now.

I guess I'll just say that I'm sure you know and feel what I will know and feel when that unfortunate inevitable day comes: that however short our time together, we would never trade the sheer joy of having shared time with our special dog to avoid the heartache of losing our special dog. Time with special dogs like ours is such a blessing.

I'm glad you got to have such a wonderful dog by your side, and I'm very very sorry for the pain you must be feeling now to have lost her.

Take care,
H

but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

I am really sorry to hear the news. Some of the best moments of my last semester in Arkansas have been playing fetch with Soafy at the take-outs of some great runs.

My heartfelt thanks to all of you for the photos
and stories and condolences. I miss her constantly,
but you all remind me of all the great times we had
and I smile when I think of that.

Thank you,
Bill

Fish, I am very sorry about Soafy. I remember how listless she was on the Middle Fork when you were too sick to do anything. She didn't perk up until you did. She was a great dog. Thank you for sharing her with so many of us. Larry Pearce
