Cossatot Video - Max's first run down the Esses

Post by iYak » Mon May 18, 2009 12:56 pm

It was a great weekend on the Cossatot, the weather was perfect on Sunday.

Max had his first run down the Esses, he styled it on Saturday - video here http://iyak.smugmug.com/gallery/8244284 ... oymfA-A-LB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On Sunday, he flipped in the middle of the rapid while his Momma was filming (you may want to turn down your speakers before watching :shock: ) - video here http://iyak.smugmug.com/gallery/8244284 ... hwUiF-A-LB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I was priveliged to share an eddy with Max a couple of times on that run through the esses on Sunday -- pretty impressive, couple of really nice combat rolls. Keep up the good work!

He is 8 years old, been kayaking since he was 4.

Tim, here is a short video clip of your boy running the Esses: http://iyak.smugmug.com/gallery/8244284 ... u86dA-A-LB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Way to go Max! Between you and Hunter, it looks like AR has some excellent young boaters coming up.Keep it up buddy. Props Rob, on bringing up a solid young boater. Seems like just yesterday max was in the inflatable on Lee, he sure has come a long way. :D

Great pictures and a great weekend.

Problem with the new paddlecat is Martha had so much fun running the falls that she wants to go all the time. :D
