Is the Tot gauge off??

Post by Ryan Viser » Fri May 15, 2009 1:36 pm

Yesterday we put on the Tot after a run on Baker. Me, Heath, Bobby, and James. We called the gauge right before putting on and it said 6.02. But when we were in the Falls, Heath and them were saying there was a slab of rock that was underwater, and that only happened when it was at 7 ft. Anyone else think it's off or no?

My guess is the gauge is reading right because it is all the way up at Highway 246. With as much rain and how saturated the ground is, I'm guessing the creeks that come in below the gauge are just dumping in more water since there is nowhere else for it to go.

after talking to a couple of people, I belive the gauge is off about .5ft the tot crestted at 6.4 so we were on the crest but even at that level the slant rock usually is not under.

Renee you may be wright about the lower creeks pumping in. the western side of the watershed got hit a little harder.

any way it was a great day.

# laps on lower crooked, one lap on bakerat low side of good, and the ed banks to 4 at a really juicey 6.4:)

later Heath
