Information on the event is below, and you'll get free food and music too. Dear Canoe Club Members:

Thank you again for signing up to volunteer for the War Eagle Appreciation Day event!

The event will be held on Saturday, May 16 and will feature a canoe float on War Eagle Creek as well as live music and food at the Crossbow Pavilion at Withrow Springs State Park.

Last week, a group of people from the WEAD Committee and I floated the creek to scout out possible hazard spots - we definitely found a few due to the February Ice Storm and the debris it brought. Many of the people who participate in the Canoe Float are inexperienced and/or families with small children, and with the added hazards we will need as much help on the river as possible to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.
