Nutcase Helmets

Post by Regud » Tue Apr 28, 2009 8:57 pm

So does anyone have anything good or bad to say about Nutcase helmets?

http://www.nutcasehelmets.com

I got a gift card to REI and they only carry a few kayak helmets, Nutcase being one of them.

Thanks!
Ryan

So apparently, the helmets comply with CE EN 1385 Water Sport Safety Standards.

Sweet, Shred, and ProTec helmets comply with that standard as well.

I got 6 stitches above my eye at zeke's headache on the mulberry about 5 years ago. I was wearing a protec. the helmet slide back on my head when I went under and exposed my forehead. I wear a grateful heads "hawg" since then. I have always called zekes headache "eye opener" for that reason. So thats my $0.02.

Keep in mind this your head were talking about. A helmet is the one item I tell beginners not to go cheap on.

Thanks for the info. I have a ProTec Two Face now, but it is a bit small. Just trying to find something good around the $100 range.

In case you missed this post on Monday....

I have a Shred Ready and like it a lot. Might not be your color, but $70 for a quality composite lid ain't bad.
