Probably the best place would be one of the restaurants near the hwy 7 south bridge....the second bridge that is.
Maybe the back porch at Fisherman's Wharf? Somewhere along there...And granny doesn't have to know how to swim, she could ride
on one of the electric boats...

Only a couple of weeks left until Paddle for the Planet!!!

Just received 450 T-shirts that some are getting for free because they pre-registered before April 1st.

The rest will have to buy a shirt....but its cool because that money goes to YOU, the Arkansas Canoe Club. If we said that 120 T-shirts
were given away, that would leave 330 shirts, multiplied by 10 dollars each, thats 3300 dollars into the Conservation Fund.

Debo, I wonder what you guys could do with that?

get registered....www.paddle4theplanet.com

After I help Joe eat that Panda I will be there! lol My intention is to camp out that weekend at lake hamilton. I also want to get a picture taken at the bridge. I already spoke with you about it but maybe more people will read this and join in. I want a huge peace sign made out of canoes and kayaks in front of the bridge so we can get a good shot. I think that will look awesome!
Joe do you want me to burn fuel for the panda at my camp or do you want to cook it and bring it there? lol
I will be there with several others that I have persuaded to join us. if you need anything Jeremy, I will be there friday night at lake hamilton. if you can, let me know where i can camp at that would be a good location. maybe somewhere close to where people are registering or something so i can help out. let me know. Can't wait!

Keep in mind I have an extra boat hat I can loan someone to paddle. That way they don't have to flatwater paddle a playboat or anything. Not that it wouldn't be super fun to watch that...

And Michelle, I usually pre-cook the panda, slow cooking for stew, and then some kabob style. Tasty tidbits from P-kibble.

I'll try to remember to bring some. Got any burger buns?

For those that are attending, whether pre-registered or not and have extra flatwater style equipment to loan out,
please bring it with you. I'm sure there will be some folks who have waited until the last minute that may need a boat.
Also, we are encouraging people to carpool to the event, not only to reduce carbon footprints, but to save on parking.

Thanks for that Joe.

Alrighty, so its a week away and the forecast looks to be a beautiful weekend. You can still get pre-registered, but remember you can also register at the event from 8:00 a.m. until 10 a.m.
If someone is thinking of paddling that does not have a boat, we are now relying on extra equipment from participants. Here's where the members of the ACC can be a big help. Remember that this event not only
is serving to raise awareness for environmental issues, but also as a fundraiser for YOUR conservation fund.

NOTICE: Anyone volunteering to help on Sunday will need arrive at entergy park by 7:00 a.m. sharp so we can all get on the same page.

Thank you very much for letting me bug ya'll to death on this for so long.

I will be registering when I get home from work tonight. I was going to do so earlier, but decided there'd be more than enough boats signed up, and I knew I'd be pooped after spending the past three days down at an Austin music festival..... but.....I suppose I can force myself to come spend a beautiful weekend, in the peak of spring, in the great outdoors, for a great cause, with lots of great paddling folks......but only if I get ALOT of sleep between now and then
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Leigh

Is this going to be telecasted on the tv stations. If not, it needs to be. They need to be called.
