I just checked their site and found this regarding pets

NO PETS!!! PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME. If a pet is found in your car you will be turned away - regardless how long you have waited in line or if you have tickets or not.


Licensed Therapy dogs are the only exclusion to this statement.

OK, I now have the minimum of 15 volunteers who have committed to be there the entire 4 days of the festival, so it is definitely happening. (Wish it was this easy to get volunteers all the time!)

We can take way more volunteers than this. If we go over 30, we might take two beer tents and double our donations. Colby said he would be cool with that.

To answer a few questions I have gotten:
1. Yes, you will be able to camp there for free every night. However, finding a hippie chick/dude for your tent is your own responsibility.

2. If you can only work one or two days, I'll ask if we can get you in for the days you work. I'm not sure about that though. Right now, assume you will need to work a total of 4 three-hour shifts to get free admission and beer.

3. I will work on a signup sheet for beer-tent shifts soon. I do not know when what acts are on stage. If anyone finds that info. please post it here.

OK, more answers to questions:

- If you want to volunteer for just one, two, or three days, that's fine. Just let me know what days you want when you sign up. You will have to get a day-pass for each day that you work. You'll have to pay Wakarusa for any other days you attend but don't work.

- We won't get a schedule of the performances for another couple of week at least. When we do, I'll make a signup sheet for shifts so you can sign up for the times that are best for you. Signup sheet will go to the first folks to volunteer first. If it's gonna kill you to miss some show, let me know and we'll get it worked out.

We are at 16 people committed so far. We can handle in excess of 40, so plenty more room for volunteers. Wish I always had folks thanking me for "letting" them volunteer like this! :)

I didn't mention earlier, but put Marc and I down for all four days. We will be there unless something major happens. Whitewater school will be long over and youngest son's hugh wedding will be over, so selling beer in a tent will be a piece of cake!
