cadron saturday?

Post by saladoman » Mon Mar 30, 2009 1:20 pm

id like to float the cadron saturday, but i heard, at least i think it was on the cadron, that you have to have a key to get to the good put in. If anyone that has a key would like to go, id be all about it. id like to meet sometime before noon, but i don't really have any specific plans yet.

Hey Saladoman,

You'll almost certainly get some takers especially with the CCO access being available for the weekend, but I suspect many folks (myself included) will be waiting to see what this week's rains might bring before making their final Saturday paddle plans. With more rain forecast for tonight/tomorrow and again Thursday, some of the "less likely to run" and "hold their water for less time" creeks might be available and beckon paddlers away from a Cadron trip. No doubt you'll get some company though...just might not be until Friday night before you get that "yakker's yes*"!

(*yakker's yes = yes I'll be there, provided it doesn't rain in such and such watershed and such and such creek isn't running; see also: canoer's consent)

Cheers

We paddled from pinn springs bridge to 65 bridge yesterday. Is there a problem with parking on the east side of pinn sp bridge? I know this topic has been discussed thoroughly, but I still don't get it. We didn't get any notes on the winshield or anything...

Personal I would,nt park there anymore. (After last time). I gues he never called the Law, because I never heard anymore about it.
One of these days we will be able to run the Cadron without seeing a tire.

Yes, there is a problem. The problem is, you have to make a decision about whether or not to honor the owner's "No Trespassing" signs. You'll find strong opinions supporting either of the two possible answers. Whether or not you get a note depends on whether or not the landowner happens to drive by and see your car/truck.

Ok. Won't put in there anymore. Although we once met the landowner at the gate there, and he said he didn't mind if we used his trail down to the creek. That was before he replaced his fence with one that's now harder to get over. Maybe he's had it with boaters using his property.

It looks like me and Sam are going to meet up with you all. I've been sick, sick, sick all day and just don't think I can get my act together for the early crews leaving for the Tot or the Piney...

Noon meet up time sounds way more like what I'm going to need tomorrow!

Getting sick sucks. I seriously do NOT recommend it.
