Going to AR; Class II Sat and Sun

Post by CSH » Fri Mar 27, 2009 9:45 am

I am heading up to AR tonight to paddle this weekend. Im coming from East Texas. I'm looking to paddle some class II+ stuff. Boxley, Mulberrry, Piney, etc. or better yet something in the Ouachitas, Upper Tot, Dragover, etc. so I don't have to drive so far. But I am willing to go wherever I can join in with a group. Id really like to do the Tot from FR 31 to 246, and it looks like that might happen. Let me know.

Chris- That Tot run is fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again depending on the level in the morning. A safer bet may be to do the Illinois Bayou (Snow Creek run) and then on down. Sounds like what your looking for and a really nice run. Either way your welcome to join up with us. I'm going to get into some  tonight and check the gauges either later or when I wake up with my :| early in the morning.

I should be at the Tot in the morning looking for a run of the upper section. It will be my first time down it, so don't plan on me leading.

Cap N Tom,

I ran Tot 246 to Ed Banks yesterday. I'm in Ft. Smith tonight. I would like to make an early run on the Mulberry, Frog, or Piney on Sunday. Call me. 936.635.2387
Thanks,
Chris
