Michele, the road at Ben Hur is the one that goes into the put-in (near Dale and Pam's) and then continues around to the take-out. The road in by Falling Water is the one that has been obstructed by land slides. It's further on to the east on 16.

Thanks Roger! Clearly I don't know my way around there very well.

Michele,
The simple answer is if you've been there before, but don't know the area well, just go to the put-in. All shuttles depart from there now anyway due to the current road closing on Falling Water.

Anyone want to go from the Fayetteville area. Got a late start this morning, and am afraid that I will miss the boaters now, never been there.

I hear you JJ. My car went in the shop yesterday and short of trying to talk Kate into staying home from work while I took her poor little Honda to Richland I had to beg off today too.

Roger, sorry I never saw you on the creek after seeing you at the put-in. Where did you and Kim stay last night? Did y'all find the keys?

We hoteled last night in Russellville. Big rain came through shortly after getting into town.

We waited for Lance to set a shuttle so that put us behind you guys. Next time!

The road from the south to the campground is still blocked, but the road from the south to the put-in is open, as is the road from the north to the campground.

Here are the pics I shot of the crew who escorted me down the creek on Wednesday. Thanks to all. Here's Amos dropping through Door #2 at LSU!

Nice photos, Roger. Hey, is that a Quake you're paddling? I was thinking that you had a Taureau. :?

Thought about paddling tomorrow (Saturday), but with the weather looking a bit on the cool side, I think I'll wait 'till Sunday.

Yeah, that's Phil's old Quake that was owned by Randy Dodson, Orville Wright and now Kim Little!! I do have the Taureau but decided to take that badboy that day! Was looking at tomorrow also, but I'm like you! Could be a tad chilly down in the gorge.

Thanks for the compliments. Cowper took the shot of me at the falls.

Thanks for posting your pics, Roger. This one is especially awesome as it has me in the middle of one of the world's best rapids with Lazer watching from the eddy and Cowper following close behind. If that's not retina-burning awesomeness, then I am mistaken.

I do think, however, that the picture of you coming off the falls trumps it. That's poise.

Truly a great day. Glad to have been there to share it with everyone lucky enough to have made it there on a Wednesday.
