Great video guys, that really made me wish I had been able to go.
Nice flip at the end Jarrod.

P.S. Who was the insane SOB in the open boat chucking freewheels..that was awesome!

Nicely edited, and good song choice.

yeah he was a good boater... theres another video from the falls on youtube where he throws the freewheel off the falls and then flips in the hole... but rolls right back up in the hole and paddles out. not bad for a canoe....

So, I haven't had a lot of experience going off really big waterfalls. Richland and Baker are as big as I've gone I think. But, I've always thought that with an open boat being so big and long, couldn't you really mess yourself up if you tried to throw some spin and were in a weird twisted up position when your boat hit the water? Seems like you could really do a number on your spine.

We ran into that dude in the open boat on a creek a week prior...he has a cool helmet. His name is Dooley Tombras according to Mr. Armstrong.

Oh well that explains it. Dooley Tombras is a freakin badA$$!!! I've seen a lot of youtube footage and what not of him paddling some pretty hairy stuff. I think he is sponsored by Esquif and seems to be pretty close in skill to Eli Helbert who is also sponsored by Esquif and probably one of the best open boaters in the country.
