Hello! Iowan visiting family in Morrilton

Post by Nick_CR » Sat Mar 21, 2009 11:11 pm

I'm down till Sunday March 29th; did March 14-20 on the BNR Pruitt-Tyler Bend. Water level was a bit low & weather was over all favorable; 40% chance of raining after midnight before 9 Am Thursday.
I'll be visiting family here; with a over night shuttling run of some friends AM March 26 on the BNR, then back here for over nighter. My sister's getting Thursday 3-26 off & working the rest of the week/end. This is where a friend; from Iowa will be joining me, for the balance of this trip that is interested in doing a day float. Thing is I'm not going to have computer access after AM Friday March 27 & was wondering how I'll be able to get out on a day trip; on a MELLOW float, some where within the confines of the Ozark Forest to the BNR & AR/MO boarder. I'm sure to have to hire an outfitter to help run a shuttle. I'm just thinking I'll have to gather some phone numbers.
If anyone, has any ideas; I'm willing to gather them.
So, unless I've got some of your resources to help me out on this one; I'll have to float this one myself. I'll check this posting; the next few days, for your input. Thank you very much or my cell 319-360-0220.
Always nice to be replied to & anytime your in Iowa or cutting thru; if you need some assistance drop me a line. I'm in Cedar Rapids & visit me & my fellow paddlers @ http://www.paddlingiowa.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Have boat, will travel to your river/creek. Visiting family, in Morrilton, AR; March 15-29, 2008. PM, E-mail &/or (c) 319-360-0220.

Glad you had a nice trip on the BNR!

Since you won't have computer access you may want to call the local outfitters to see what's running. Here are a few that may interest you. And of course the BNR is great for day trips as well. I'm guessing you already have that contact info so I didn't include it here.

Turner Bend (Mulberry River), 479-667-3641

Thanks for the reply & info. Unfortunately, I've got to cut my stay short & will be needing to be back home day after tomorrow. Take care & keep the paddle wet & the seat dry.
