COLEMAN CREEK CLEAN UP 4-4

COLEMAN CREEK CLEAN UP DAY
WHAT?
Volunteers are invited to join the Coleman Creek Greenway Committee on Saturday April 4th for our second annual Coleman Creek Clean up Day.
WHERE?
Meet us in Parking Lot 2 (That’s the parking lot just west of the UALR parking garage and just north of the tennis courts by the old DPS building that now houses the Communications Offices.)
WHEN?
Plan to meet at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, or if 9:00 a.m. is too early for some of you, we will have a second starting time at 10:00 a.m. Look for the folks in the yellow tee shirts who will be there coordinating the project.
THE PLAN:
We will walk in the creek and along the creek banks picking up the trash that accumulates after heavy rains. Plastic trash bags and gloves will be provided, but if you have your own work gloves feel free to bring them. A small back pack or fanny pack would also be useful to carry water or a snack. Volunteers should plan to wear long pants, long sleeves, and boots or footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and/or muddy.
We plan to start at the south end of the creek, near Asher Avenue, and work north as far as we can. We are hoping for a nice clear spring day that will allow us to start at 9 a.m. and work until about 4 p.m. We understand that some volunteers will not be able to commit to the full day, but we hope that most will be able to work for at least two hours.
Lunch is being provided by our friends at Sodexo and will be either box lunches or pizza.
IF IT RAINS!
If there is light rain we will do as much as we can with the brave volunteers that are here. If there is heavy rain we will reschedule the event since access to the creek will be difficult or impossible due to the rising water level.

And all this life we've glorified
Robbin' from the blind
It's not easy, you see
Don't think i don't know sympathy
My victims in my shadow
Starin' back at me
