only two boats on a civic?! i believe that i once was involved with 4 boats on top of patrickE's civic after a run on the cadron.

Oh! and they're quite removeable in just a couple minutes time. Putting them on is maybe 10 - 20 minutes. They have 1 key for the 4 locking hubs, and when they're mounted, they're rock-solid. Unfortunately I'm going to drive the civic til the doors fall off, so I'm not looking to sell the racks, but I highly recommend the Thule racks. Had some on the wife's CRV also, but sold them last year after she traded the car in.

Thanks, but my daughter's kayak carrying gear is all Yakima from the roof up, so we're sticking with a Yakima solution. I was able to get a Yakima "extender" from a member on this forum.
