so, i might have jumped too soon with my reply in excitement,.... we don't want to "take away" anything from the club. and we always welcome new paddlers, so first, we need to sign them up to our club,(Arkansas canoe. and the American canoe association.) and by doing so we can help them jump start into the programs! and if they don't want to join.. we can charge them double!

Tinker-Winker, nice suggestion, but he's already out of school as much as he's in it, and failing like a big dog. His mom would love nothing more than for me to contribute to that problem and have a record of it so I can share the blame. And, I'd have to take an entire sick day to get over there by noon and risk the wrath of my principal for defying the "no Fridays or Mondays" rule. :hammer: Not worth it.

I think the guy who talked about just getting them out on the water and playing has a good point. Ian can probably handle class II in my rec boat, but it wouldn't hurt to just camp and swim and play with boats on flatwater, the Ouachita, the Buffalo in summer, etc.
