Yo we tried to run the steepies in newton co. today and got shutdown on everything. :( Not b/c of ice but b/c of tons of downed trees. We wiffed on all the eflb steepies, richland, even graves and the piney area are horribly screwed up right now. I would imagine w/ a team of determined lumberjacks, an early start, and a few chainsaws you might get to richland, but if you do be careful b/c of the ton of new stuff down! Im telling you man there are a ton of trees down!Any ways we did get a consolation prize w/ upper spadra & horsehead spillway! pic of chuck b.,tracy t., and joe c.
Have fun tommorrow & be safe!

jjones...I might be down. Man I was trying to get in touch with people but I just got power back last night, and finally got internet back just a minute ago. I am trying to decide if I want to deal with all the trees that are going to be down out there for not that great of a level.

Give me a call.... 512-878-3013...I could be out there by 1PM.

-Matt

If your referring to horsehead, the hole can punish those who arent on line, but only at a good level like this. The crux is the thing you blast thru about 1/3 of the way down. Hit it on the left seam of the thing w/ a right sweep and you wont get flipped or knocked as far right, then stay forward and angling left for the big hit at the bottom. You can either plug it HARD or delay your rightie boof till the last second and youll skip right over it real Fast! Either way angle sightly right on your left edge before the big hit and youll grease er good! Whatever you do dont screw up at the thing up top and you wont be heading to the hospital! The hole beat down :hammer: is probly nothing compared to eating sh!t all the way down.Holler when you wanna go I would be glad to show you the line. It will def. open your eyes to how much fun big slides can be! :D JOE C
