H2O Paddles

Post by BooF4FooD » Mon Dec 01, 2008 3:51 am

H2o paddles... has anyone used one, h2o-2 to be exact... thinking about getting one unless i find something used.... ive heard the bent shafts are sweet... with some sick kind of grip on them, but im leaning more the more toward a straight carbon shaft... i believe most of their paddles are plastic blades

I don't know man. I've never used one and don't think I have seen anyone else use one either. I think for $275 I would just get a Werner from a local outfitter and be taken care of. If it's for the grips check out jjones03 post "paddle grip". I have a free sample of that stuff on the way.

I had one for a while and generally liked it. It was a replacement for a Lendal I lost for a while. Once I got the Lendal back I sold the H2O.

The H2O blades have slightly less power than the Lendal blades (though the Lendal blades have a lot of power, more than the Werners).

The H2O was very light, especially for having plastic blades, though the blades were a little springier than the Lendal blades (the Lendal blades are plastic but have some kind of carbon fiber chunks thrown in).

For the price and durability, the H2O are pretty nice, but if you're looking at the bent shaft, you're approaching the price of the bent shaft Lendal which is really nice. But for the price of the straight shaft, hard to beat.

I've got the e-mail address for a rep who got me mine if you'd like to get in touch with him. He may also have Demo sticks. Before he was selling some demos at a pretty steep discount and could ship demos out for ~$10.
