Elk River Report

Post by kayakrat » Mon Oct 27, 2008 3:00 pm

Floated from behind the gas station in Pineville to the low water bridge near the train tracks. Water was at a great level. Smallies were extremely active. I was throwing a Clouser Crawdad with my fly rod. Biggest was about 15". Most fell int he 8-13" range. All were released to be caught again. Trees were very pretty as was the scenery. I will be floating the Elk some more this winter. It is too close and too pretty not too.
