How many more boatball Games?

Post by sspecke » Mon Sep 29, 2008 10:14 pm

Just wondering how many more games we're going to have? Could we meet 30 min. sooner? Say 5:30 to get a few more games in this year?
As for wednesday I cant make it :( Got a group project to work on. So I'll have to wait until next week.

What do you guys think?!
Plus I'm waiting for my new paddle to get here!

Well... Daylight Savings goes all the way through Oct. now, but sunsets are at about 6:45 now and they'll be 5:45 by the end of Oct. We played till about 7:30 or maybe a bit later the other day, so we can play about 45 min after sunset before it starts getting too dark. Obviously meeting at 6:00 won't cut it much longer. We usually quit in Oct. for that reason and because the boating season is firing up and it's getting much cooler.

So who wants to keep playing boatball into Oct? If we do, meet at 5:00 PM (or as soon as you can get there after that)? I don't know if it's worth it or not - let's see a show of hands here and decide!

We will play this Wed evening - get there as early as you can. I'll be there at 5:30.

I'm out for this week, but only this week. I'll be down for trying it earlier for awhile.

Would love to come out and play, but hurt my knee! Have fun, wish I could join you all. Gretchen

As much as I'd like to come, I'm going to have to miss boatball today. Just too much work on my plate. Who wants to come pick up the gear? It's at my new place on Mt. Sequoya - holler if you're heading that way.

I can't make it today either....It is a pain when "life" gets in the way of paddling

I'd like to try to keep playing boatball for as long as we can. Most of the time I can be there around 5:30PM.
I'm looking forward to paddling rivers this Fall too. Hopefully!

So is it game on or what? I'll bring the extra paddle if you need it Sean. Lets play!

Posting from West Fork. Apparently the answer to the question "how many more boatball games?" is 1 and it's not tonight. Lets make one more and make it the world cup. Does next week work for everyone?

Sorry about that. No one ever came to get the stuff. I called a few folks - no takers. Kurt - hate that you made the drive.

Sean are you really that excited? I mean that's like 20 damn exclamation points in a three sentence post. Lay off the coffee bud.
