How does this make him a kayaker again? Did I miss something in the story?

Either way, police arrested him without incident. However, once they got the camera turned off..there should've been a few incidents of beating his arse black and blue in the back of the patrol car.

He had a kayak strapped to his Blazer, so I guess that is why they thought he was a kayaker.
