Hurricane Round #2?

Typical curve path being predicted for Ike after landfall in TX. Looks like it'll be on top of Fayetteville sometime Monday...

Stay tuned.

Check out some of these maps. Some of the computer models, especially maps 1, 2, 4, 5 when you scroll down, converge over Ft. Smith/Fayettville.

Fish, you can be assured that high water creek adventures will not be on tap, because I should be able to get free early next week. Unlike last week when I was stuck at work all day Wed and Thurs and half of Friday.

So expect minimal rain, just enough to make the creeks look potentially runable. :(

Yeah, the last time I saw that in the morning, we were sleeping on the creek that night. :-)

Maybe I won't have to go up there this weekend!

The project path of that big sucker is starting to turn towards Arkansas. I'll probably get called back to work again just in time to miss all the paddling! :x

Was just watching the news and they said that within the last hour the NWS had changed the track of the storm to making a more easterly landfall (Galveston area), and tracking up through Bryan/College Station into Arkansas by Monday-ish.

Ya'll might end up getting two in a row after all.

Is it just me, or does it look like Ike is forecast to be sitting right on top of Cossatot Falls on Sunday morning?

DVB: Is there an ARG chapter of hurricane forecasters? If so, that line may not be reliable. Start center, work right, avoid Tot falls.

Tim Man

I've said it before, but apparently I'll have to say it again. You sure ask a lot of questions.

It's no coincidence that magic and meteorology both start with an "M."

Hey Roman
Drink about four Monsters and two Redbulls and take about four Advil and you should be good to drive home late Sunday. Now you may crash like all holy H#&l but atleast you will get to paddle. :D
