Rendezvous Volunteers Needed + General Event Information
ACC Rendezvous
Sanctioned by the American Canoe Association
September 12th, 13th and 14th, 2008
Camp Couchdale - Near Hot Springs, AR
Call for volunteers!!
Yep it’s time again, so check out the front page of the website for the latest event information. A schedule of specific activities will be out in a few weeks.
As always we need a ton of volunteers to make this happen. The more folks who can spend an hour or two with registration, silent auction, etc the easier it is on all of us.
Send me a PM or email me and we’ll get back with you. A special request this year for a few people who can hang around Camp Couchdale to help us clean up on Sunday…..
Thanks!!

What do you have for an expected attendance? Same type of camping arrangements as last year? Will you have an insert or a thread on the Board regarding the Rendezvous schedule of events, etc......Last year Tom B. inserted a flyer in our newsletter......................
thanks.
thanks.

Jacqueline, you're signed up to help with registration - check with Mel
We will need several more to help with registration. If you're a new member this is a great way to meet some of the older members. PM me to get on the registration volunteer list.
thanks,
Mike Beebe

"thanks" cowper for the directions! It's always a challenge to drive by myself in the dark down in that vicinity - plus it doesn't help when you are new to Arkansas!

Re: Rendezvous Volunteers Needed + General Event Information
Great thanks Cowper!
Alright things are coming together so here’s the latest:
1.If you want to eat at Camp Couchdale this weekend, Eva has asked that we buy tickets from her by 10PM on FRIDAY!
2.Camp Couchdale’s phone is now working so if you’ve wanted to make lodging plans now’s the time.
3.Check at registration for the latest update for schedules when you get there.
4.Paddledog’s Saturday’s film competition has been changed to more of a “show what ya got” format due to lack of entries for the film fest…..bring out all your stuff, doesn’t matter if it’s been shown before, not the greatest, yada, yada. It’s all good! Pass the word…….
5.Oh you’re working on your margarita recipe to take on Walter aren’t ya????
6.Heard rumors that a pickup game of Boatball might happen…..be on the lookout for that one it’s going to be like seeing a shooting star
7.Couple new activities have been added, Thanks guys!
a.T. Yamashita’s stroke class
b.Debbie Doss will be doing a nature walk
8.Hurricane Ike….well we’ll just see won’t we

Dave or T,
I'm making the registration sheets for the mini clinics. Do we have the details on T.'s class -- time & place?
Thanks!

Re: Rendezvous Volunteers Needed + General Event Information
I think i listed it at 9am at the waterfront. If anyone is interested in helping out, please see me on friday or sat morning before the clinic. Thanks, ty
Focus on smooth canoe paddling strokes. 9 to 11am at the waterfront.
If you've been to canoe school or one of the ACC's paddling workshops and you want a bit more to hone your strokes, come to the boating area at 9:00 am. We'll work on making your strokes look and feel better. Bring your boat, gear, and some drinking water for this session. Prior aca/acc clinic participation is recommended as this clinic is for refining strokes rather than learning them.
