THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS...BENTON...
CARROLL...MADISON AND WASHINGTON. IN OKLAHOMA...ADAIR...
CHEROKEE...CRAIG...DELAWARE...MAYES...NOWATA AND OTTAWA.

THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING
1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WILL BE COMMON ACROSS THE WATCH AREA
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING WITH UP TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE IN LOCALIZED AREAS. CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR HEAVY RAINFALL TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...WITH THE INITIAL DEVELOPMENT UNDERWAY THIS EVENING ACROSS NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. WHILE THERE REMAINS CONSIDERABLE UNCERTAINTY IN THE EXACT PLACEMENT OF THE HEAVIEST RAINS...THE WIDESPREAD NATURE OF THE OVERNIGHT RAINS WILL LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING POTENTIAL ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND FAR NORTHWEST ARKANSAS.

OK, 3+ inches of rain on Google Earth this morning for Lee Cr. and Sugar Cr. watersheds. Rain is still falling. Also, the Baron Fork gauge that correlates to Fall Cr. in Lee's watershed spiked over 4.5 feet early this morning. A quite good sign. And yes, I know it's summer...

I'm just sayin...

Grant reports Little Mill came up from no water to a "full streambed" but is not at a runnable level yet. A good sign for Lee (which got more rain) and the Frog (which got about that much too).

Heading for Lee soon.

The vanguard group is heading out from Fayettenam at 8:30. Will try to report from the field for the lazy and the skeptical... :)

Yep. We're going for Lee. You can reach me at the number on the BOD page on this site if you want to hook up.

We are running a little slow this morning, but Andy has gone out to get a visual on Sugar and Jack. We got 3.5 inches at the house. I'll post when he calls in.

Andy reports that Sugar is a go; it's 1'8" on the bridge guage and it is still raining. Probably will be a small group heading out shortly.
