It looks like we will have a good turn out this year. We have guests from ADEQ, Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, Arkansas Game & Fish, Arkansas Forestry Commission, PC&E, the Attorney General's Office, Central Arkansas Water, US Fish and Wildlife and two state representatives. We also have guests from the conservation community.

Some of these will be bringing family members, so it is looking like we will need all the rafts we can get. We should be on the water by 11:00, so come early enough to get your raft ready well before.

I would also like to have someone come along as a photographer. It would be nice to have a record of the day and be able to send our guests a link to see their pictures.

Thanks to all of those helping with this event. It is important for us to do and really helps good things happen for streams in Arkansas.

We have the best volunteer organization in the state. You all have my deepest gratitude.

That rug really tied the room together.

Dave & Susan,
I plan to be there with my 12' Star -- should be able to take two or three average sized "Gov Type" people. Bob

I think we've set it on the same day as the Watermellon Festival... thus forcing legislators to choose... It's great that two made the right choice!

Larry,

During the years I was in command of the Hope unit of The Ark. Nat. Guard, two things I learned never to do: schedule a weekend drill for the same weekend squirrel season started or the weekend of the Watermelon Festival...

Best Regards

Debbie,

Mike and I volunteer to take care of the photography. Mike's a good picture taker and I need some rowing experience. Then when I get tired, Mike can take over. We could still carry one passenger with us.

Let me know if you still need a photog.

Thanks Liz and Mike for handling the camera job! That's great!

Just a reminder to raft rowers. Please bring as many extra life jackets as you can to make sure all our guests are covered.

If you have umbrellas for your raft, consider bringing them. The forcast is hot and sunny, but there may be a chance of thunderstorms. In either case umbrellas could come in handy.

Also, Gayle has asked for some extra chairs to use at the lunch site.

Thanks again for all your help.

I've got 6 folding chairs - they'll be in the back seat of my truck - when the vehicles are shuttled from the dam launch site.

Emily and the kids will be available to help with shuttle, and if Gayle wants it, help setting up for lunch.

We'll bring all our camp chairs and lifejackets.

Entergy e-mail just reported that they revised the flows for Rockport;

Flows of about 3600 CFS will occur from all three dams from about Noon to 10 PM daily.

Thought that might change your start time.

Start time will not change. We are working to get an earlier release scheduled from Entergy. If this is successful they will start releasing at 10:00am.
