Friday release
I got Ted's email last week and know they are releasing for Rockport on Thursday and Saturday this week, but it didn't indicate if they will be releasing on Friday. Anyone know if there will be water at the ledge Friday afternoon/evening as well?

Re: Friday release
Sounds llike it should be there by around 1 PM on Friday:
Due to equipment repair delays by the Corps at Blakely Dam, the 24 hour 3,000 CFS flow release will be delayed until Noon on Tuesday. Flows releases will stop tonight around 10 PM and resume at Noon on Tuesday. Flows of about 3,000 CFS from Blakely, Carpenter and Remmel Dams will be continuous for the next 72 hours. Then on Friday, a new release pattern of about 3600 CFS will begin from 10 AM to Midnight daily.

Re: Friday release
Due to some work at Blakely dam, it doesn't sound like there will be a full release on Friday. I e-mailed Ted to find out what we could expect on Friday:
It should be about 3,000 CFS which is ¾ of the normal flow. But it might be more or less than that. We are working with the Corps upstream Blakely dam and they are doing some things that have changed our normal release. We will have full release for Surf N Turf on Saturday. I’m not sure how good the surfing will be at the reduced flow, but it will be boatable water.

Re: Friday release
Saturday release 3600 7 AM - 7 PM
Sunday release 3600 9 AM - 9 PM
The Corps has finally completed equipment repairs at Blakely Dam and we are now performing a 72 hour test release for them. Flow from Blakely, Carpenter and Remmel Dams of about 3,000 CFS will continue until sometime Sunday morning. On Saturday, flow will increase to about 3600 CFS from 7 AM to 7 PM. Starting Sunday flows of about 3600 CFS will occur from all three dams from about 9 AM to 9 PM daily.

Re: Friday release
Well it looks like "about" 3,000 CFS is turning out to be 2400 CFS. The Corps was supposed to release at a higher rate than they are actually doing. But we are supposed to crank it up to full flow at 7 AM on Saturday and keep it up until 7 PM. If anyone is at the dam early and finds that it is not going full, call me and I can fix it. I will try to check on it myself.
