I ordered some fleece lined Glacier Gloves and NRS Black Rock dry pants this evening. I've been wearing a 3mm farmer john wetsuit with an NRS semi-dry top. I was planning on getting a Patagonia long sleeve capilene shirt. Should I dump the wet suit and get capilene pants too?

What I'll test at the next Buffalo float in my rec boat - if I'm dry at the take out, I'll swim a little just to see what's working:

neoprene skullcap

poly liner gloves
3mm neoprene paddling gloves

poly liner socks
wool socks
3mm neoprene booties

lightweight poly longjohns

gore-tex running pants

3mm farmer johns

dry top

may add/replace poly liner socks & gloves with sealskinz "gore-tex" later on
