Want to buy a used solo whitewater canoe for a big guy

I am wanting to find a decent open whitewater canoe for a fella that tips the scale at about 225. I have plenty of whitewater experience in kayaks and a little in an old mad river outrage. I am kind of leaning toward an open canoe as the seating position is easier on my back than it is in a kayak. I would like to find something that would be great on the Hailstone run and the St.Francis as well. Ideally a boat that I could paddle solo or maybe even put my 7 year old daughter in for a tandem buddy. Boats that come to mind are the old Howler, or maybe an XL14.
