Open House Gear Sale?

Post by Paddlegal » Mon Aug 27, 2018 2:27 pm

I started camping in 1990 and paddled for 8 years of that. I'm retired now and have too many health issues to camp anymore. I have LOTS of pretty nice gear, including a canvas 10x10 outfitters tent.

I was thinking of holding an open house to sell all this stuff. My son is not interested in any of it.

I'm posting here to get feedback from you all. Are any of you interested in driving to Jacksonville, just North of Little Rock.

WADDA say m8ts? Wanna buy my gear?

Kitchen, bed, stove, sleeping stuff, lamps, heaters, fans, etc., etc.

Also a nice paddle.

Ms. Connie, you'll also fare much better if you put something on the Facebook page. That's where nearly all the traffic has gone. Happy to help if you'd like.

Yep. It's unfortunate. I really miss all the message board banter. The way of things though.

For what it is worth, I used Facebook for a while when it first came on line.

Then a bit of research showed me just how they track every thing members do with all sorts of trackers and beacons. I got off the service and will never use it again. Facebook is one of the most profitable business operations in the world. And, getting bigger by tracking and selling information about what users do. But, I digress.

PaddleGal, it might help if you list the items you have for sale. I and probably many others are always looking for camp gear. You could format the list and copy it to the message board and Facebook.

So sorry to hear you are not boating like you used to. I enjoyed your posts.

okieboater AKA Dave Reid also retired, still boating but not as much as I used to boat.

Werner Tybee NOT CF. Moderately used Rec paddling. It has three holes to adjust angle. Make me an offer.

Connie, what is the length of the paddle. It should be written on the shaft.

I don't see it on the shaft but I would say 7 feet. I'm 5'4" and its a couple of feet taller than me.
