BLUE HOLE CANOE OCA FOR SALE
OCA 6306. 1981. This is a very straight and clean classic tandem royalex canoe. North Little Rock. 5015191454. $950.

Interesting. That boat looks like my first OCA I purchased as used from BOC!!! Got the same seats as the one I had. Plus that little dent in the gunwale just in back of the bow seat looks similar to the one I put on it when I pinned mine at Keyhole on Sec. III of the Chattooga many years ago!!! Sort of straightened it back out with a 2x4! And I bet there is a little spot on that bow seat where it rubbed on the rock while pinned grinding it down somewhat.
Just curious as to who you bought have it from? Also, if it's the same one then I only paid $800 for it back then.

Wow! Very cool. it may be your boat. it still has a roger head stamp inside and on the other end the name and address faintly in permanent marker. did you buy it around 1986? i would be interested in any additional history and of any trips you made in it if you can recall. any provenance certainly adds to the mystique of this wonderful classic. i hate to sell it.

That would be me!!! Bought the boat "new" from BOC in either 1981 or 1982 for the aforementioned $800 (boats sere selling for $900 at the time). Mike had just added it to his fleet and it had only been used 2-3 times. I was living in Brandon, Ms at the time.
Rivers that it has been on include Nantahala, Sec. III of Chattooga (as mentioned), French Broad, Locust Fork in Alabama, Hiwassee, Oakatoma Creek and Chunky River in MS, and some others that I forget.

I already asked John. I think he is running out of room.

Luke it sounds like you have sold something to him in the past. Lol. Great guy. He introduced me to white water canoeing years ago.
Re: BLUE HOLE CANOE OCA FOR SALE
Yep! I've sold him a few odds and ends. Last time I talked to him he told me he couldn't get enough OCAs, but I guess that's no longer the case. Bet he's not as adept as you at fish bone removal.
You come too.
