Stolen canoes in Springfield, MO

Post by dogpatch » Fri Dec 02, 2016 8:25 am

Stolen Canoes: Dave Millsap in Springfield, MO has had two homemade trailers with several well used Royalex canoes stolen from his backyard recently. I don't know how to repost his original FB post with pics, but go to Dave Millsap on FB and I think the original post will come up. Please be on the lookout.

I would dearly love to catch a boat thief red handed..............sorry SOBs !!!

Problem: I don't do Facebook; so I have absolutely no idea what boats to be watching for?

I doubt the thieves are stupid enough to be hauling stolen boats around on a stolen trailer in broad daylight. I would think the boats are already out of state, or stashed somewhere in state; to be sold at a later date. Trailers might get a new paint job before they're ever used again. Boats might show up on out of state craiglist?

Sure would be helpful if owner posted some photos of stolen boats, or at the very least, boat models.

I feel bad reading this.

Dave Milsap is a good man and his boating skills are well known.

Dave has done a lot of good for the sport and deserves better.

Lets hope the crooks get caught or better yet return the equipment to it's home.

I do not do facebook either but will stay alert in my travels.
