High Bank construction volunteers needed Nov 19th
Tom Perry, the driving force behind the Indian Creek landing, has been given a huge pile of rectangular boulders to use on the upcoming improvements to High Bank access on the Mulberry. The landowner donating the boulders has a trackhoe on the site that can be used to load the rocks and we have another trackhoe waiting at High Bank to unload them. The rocks are on private land just north of I-40 between Alma and Van Buren so it is a lengthy trip from there to High Bank (about 3 hours round trip). A handful of us got started moving the rock this past Saturday Nov 12, but with a trackhoe waiting on either end we need as many pick up trucks pulling trailors, or better yet dump trucks, as we can round up to make better progress while we still have access to the trackhoes. If you have a 16' or larger trailer then we could sure use your help this coming Saturday Nov 19. Plans are to meet at Van Alma Tire Co on the north side of Hwy 64 between Alma and Van Buren at 8:00 Sat 19th. If you arrive a bit late then just head north for about a mile on the road beside the tire company. Turn left at the only stop sign and then look for the site on your left. Bring heavy duty straps and chains if you have them. If you have any questions or suggestions please call Brad Wimberly at 479-209-1715 or Tom Perry at 479-651-1231. Thanks

A big thanks to everyone involved.
I should stop being amazed what can happen when one of us puts out the call for volunteers.
A big job gets a lot smaller when there are plenty of hands to turn out.
Thanks to all involved and I can't wait to see the new and improved High Bank access.
