RENDEZVOUS SILENT AUCTION

Hey Everyone,

It's that time again and I need your help. Rendezvous is right around the corner, which means it is time to gather items for the Silent Auction, which will be held all day Saturday at Rendezvous. All proceeds from the Silent Auction go to the Conservation Fund of the ACC, so this is very important to funding the club's efforts to preserve and protect the waterways that we all love. Please donate what you can -- clean out your gear boxes and closets and search your home for stuff you don't need or don't use but that still has some life left and that somebody else might use. This can be anything from paddling gear/clothing to camping, hiking, fishing, or cooking gear. You can bring your items for donation to Rendezvous Friday late afternoon-evening or Saturday morning or arrange to have it brought to Rendezvous by someone else (just let me know if you need help coordinating this).

We had some great items from businesses and outfitters last year. Please help solicit donations from any businesses, companies, or individuals in your area that might be willing to donate gift certificates (cabin rentals/lodging, fishing guide, food, etc.) and/or services (car wash/detailing, deck cleaning/refinishing, lawn service/landscaping, etc.). Don't forget to consider your own talents and abilities (such as paddling and/or rolling instruction, swift water rescue, etc.) that you could donate as a certificate. Hand-crafted items are great for donation as well (wood or other sculpture, paintings, jewelry, etc.).

I will be posting some of the Silent Auction items on the Rendezvous 2016 Facebook page (link is in a separate post) over the next couple weeks, so be sure to follow that. Feel free to email me with questions or pictures of items for the auction from businesses/companies or individuals so I can post them to Facebook as recognition and appreciation for the donors.

Everyone did a great job of making last year's Rendezvous Silent Auction a huge success. Let's do it again -- please join in this effort!
