My wife and I got this earlier this year for 2-3 day floating trips, but it has more of a rocker than we are used to. We need something that is more of a tank that plows through the waves, loaded down with gear. It feels "tippy" to me, since it is designed to be more of a playboat, and my days of adrenaline-seeking have past

A clipping from Old Town's original magazine advertising the Kennebec is attached below. The boat is in great shape, early-1980s Royalex. There's no oil-canning whatsoever. I feel like it's bullet-proof, back when Old Town used thicker Royalex on their boats, yet I can easily carry it around. I know I could modify it for camp floating by dropping the seats and moving them forward some, to compensate for the rocker. But I really don't want to change the feel of the boat for someone who would appreciate it.
Asking $550. Located in Dardanelle. Would consider trade for something better suited for our needs. Also taking suggestions on what to look for in a tank-like, tripper canoe.
