Little Missouri River Friday July 15

I had intended to run a trip on Tuesday, but unfortunately SWEPCO didn't post the release schedule until that morning. So I will now change that trip until Friday. We will shuttle from Riverside Park at 2:55p.m. For those that don't know this section is close to Murfreesboro Arkansas. Post up, see you there. BOB

Hey Bob. Last nights storm did a number on our place. Lots of clean up and waiting for power to come back.
Maybe next week. Don't know about Coogsn yet, but I bet he's in the same boat.

I too had 5-30 gallon cans of yard waste to pick-up. 9 of us enjoyed a cloudy day (which kept the temperatures down) on the Little Mo. We managed to stay with the flow and much play time was enjoyed by those who were so inclined. This week SWEPCO is releasing at 11a.m. I will post next weeks trip sometime today. BOB

Saw next weekend's releases and I'm not familiar with the area. Are there any good campgrounds around? I usually don't like camping in campgrounds so National Forrest land with a shaded camping area is also good. Is anyone else going so we won't have to bring a shuttle vehicle?

Camping can be had at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. BOB

The Corps site lists 14 camping areas around Lake Greeson with some located very close to the put-in at Riverside Park. Given the woody terrain around the lake, I'll bet there will be several sites in some of them that offer fairly nice seclusion.

Thanks Jim. I don't know why that skipped my mind, as I drive right though the Army Corps campground on my way to the put -in . Karla I have plans on Saturday so this weeks trip will be on Sunday. BOB
