Novacraft Ocoee paddler weight range

Looking at a Novacraft Ocoee, I'm worried that I might exceed the optimal weight range for this boat at 240. I'm not new to the sport but I'm new to this type of canoe. I would appreciate any advice I could get before I drop the money on this.

Test drive one before you buy if possible but I would hazard a guess that you're going to find that you're just outside the weight range for it.

I own one and it is an incredibly dynamic boat. Try it, I think you will find that it's not the one for you.

At 235, I still love mine. I do love it more when I weigh less, but nevertheless, I still love it at 235 lbs. if you know how to paddle this boat, it won't let you down.

having said all that, this boat shines even more if you weigh less than 210 lbs.

Thanks for the opinions guys, maybe Ill wait till something a little larger comes along. Any suggestions for a good boat for a guy my size to learn play boating skills that I won't outgrow too fast?
