Buffalo this week May 5-7

Post by Richard » Tue May 03, 2016 2:16 pm

I'm interested in floating the Buffalo this week.
1) OVERNIGHTER: I am hoping to do a gravel bar overnighter (primitive/no facilities) and
2) FRIDAY DAY TRIP: I am taking my granddaughter and couple of her friends on a daytrip on Friday.

Hey Richard! Where were you thinking of paddling for the overnight? I may join you depending on where you go?

Richard, my son and his girlfriend's family are planning on doing an overnighter between Ponca and Kyle's on the 7th if it's not too bony.
Don't know where they'll go if it's too low.

I should have checked this earlier
The current plan is to float with my granddaughter on Fri May 6 from Hwy 14 to Rush. We plan to be at Hwy 14 bridge at 12noon.
Text me at 501-327-7089 if interested.

Then if I am feeling up to it, Sat-Sun same section and camping on a gravel bar (hopefully Bice Bend if it isn't too crowded.)

Randy, I'm thinking it is going to be too boney on the upper end.

I have school on Monday and just a simple float takes me a day or two to recover from anymore.
No overnighter for me this weekend.

Being on this end of life can be the pits.

That's ok. after the storms, we got to do Ponca to Kyle's on Wednesday (my 50th birthday) at a great level.
