Call Michael at Saline River Canoe - I only know what is on maps, and don't have a good feel for local issues like which places are safe to park, etc.

Re: Saline River Access Points South of I30
Hey Billy, I too recommend visiting with Mike at Saline River Canoe. I think most of his clients are making trips on the various sections above I-30, but since Mike grew up in this area, he will probably have the best info.
I have only floated two sections of the Saline below Benton, and both floats were made thirty years or more ago. I can tell you of the five accesses I know of between I-30 and Hwy 270; the first is at the Shaw Bridge just west of the Shaw community, the second is the Tull Bridge just West of the Tull community, the third access is right beside Hwy 229 just North of the Fenter community (between Traskwood and Poyen), the forth access is the Game&Fish 'Fitzhugh' access just South of Fenter and about two miles off Hwy 229, the fifth access is at the Hwy 270 bridge between Poyen and Prattsville.
I'm not real keen on leaving a vehicle at many of the access points on the saline either above or below I-30 but do have a better feel for some more so than others. The only two sections I have floated below I-30 were from the Tull Bridge to the roadside access just North of Fenter, and one very long section between the Hwy. 270 Bridge and the Jenkins Ferry State Park access.
I was curious if you had any specific section in mind and if you were planning to paddle a canoe or kayak, or take a small motor boat.
As the Saline moves downstream from Benton, it becomes slower and more meandering. Many of the sections are very long and if I was doing any fishing, I would like a small motor boat.
Best Regards
Jim
