Happy New Year!!

Post by Crane » Thu Dec 31, 2015 9:11 am

For the coming New Year, for each of you, Pat and I wish quick streams with dancing waves, light that trips across earth's face, crisp nights and black skys filled with handfulls of stars, campfires shared with friends to end the day and begin another, sunsets and sunrises cupped in mountain gorges, favorite meals with extra-special bites, hands to hold, and friends to laugh with until tears run. May this coming year be special for you and for everyone you touch! Crane

Happy New Year to you too Larry! Marlo and I thoroughly enjoyed our outings this year and will look forward to the good waters, and good friends to visit with along the way in the coming year :D

Best Regards
Jim

Appreciate the good wishes for 2016. I hope to get to paddle with you and many others in the club this year after I am back in better shape after my third knee replacement surgery in 5 years (11/30) and my second heart attack (12/11). Both Orthopedist and Cardiologist have released me with no restrictions so I am looking forward to paddleing again. I'm still a tad limited in my knee flexion, so I might not jump back in a canoe at first unless it is all under class III, but with two dry suits and I third rumored to be on its way to me eventually, I should be ready to go in kayak or sea kayak up to 30 miles for a day hop. My main paddleing partner for the last 8 years had declared that she would now prefer to limit her trips to days above 50F and to stay within an hour of home, so I will be looking for others to add to my regular paddle with list when she is not available. Subject to honey-do lists, doctor and dentist visits, I am available 7 days a week and have camping gear for overnight trips. Also have some loaner gear and boats that are not for sale nor rent, but available to relatives, friends, neighbors, and friends I haven't met yet within reason. See you on the river or lake.

Eric, I still hold out hope that I'll get to bring Little Deuce on a Buffalo multi-day with you, Richard and Dave. We need to make that happen in '16.
You come too.

Deuce,

Me, my dutch oven and Rendezvous are ready to go on short notice when the weather gets a bit warmer for us over the hill former creek boaters.

Deuce and Dave, count me in when you get ready for a multi-day on the Buffalo, or even the Eleven Point! As soon as the cold afternoons break, I'll be willin'!! Crane
