Looking for ww kayaking help - NWA

Post by JohnC » Mon Dec 21, 2015 10:38 am

Been really wanting to try out ww kayaking. I've been on the water a lot in canoes. Does anyone have a creek boat that they aren't using that I could get some practice in before I commit to buying a boat? I'm 6' and around 200lbs. I've got a dry suit pfd etc. I'm in the Fayetteville area.

Thanks,

John

Come to the first pool session next month at the jones center. There's always a lot of boaters there , and most would be glad to let you check a boat out in the pool. Probably gonna need to make a few friends first, before anyone is gonna let you take their boat out on the river.-M- :twocents:

Hey Mike. Thanks for the reply. I've got the pool sessions on my calendar. I'm not necessarily asking to borrow a boat. I could meet anyone who's got the time and patience at one of the lakes or rivers nearby. I've also got an extra salsa el mariachi mountain bike if someone wants to try that out temporarily in exchange for a kayak. I'm just wanting to get on some water in one and get the feel for it.

Cheers!

John

I here ya. Bikes usually end up where you can get them back..... Boats not so much. :poke2:
