First Decent - Parrot Island Whitewater Park

This Saturday, October 3rd, ACC members have been granted access to the Parrot Island Whitewater Park in Ft. Smith, Arkansas from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. While not the entire park, we have access to the 85,000 gallon wave pool and it will be turned on from time to time. This allows a unique opportunity to learn and practice rolling in both a flat water and moving water environment. ACC instructors will be available to assist paddlers in learning and perfecting their kayak or canoe roll. There will be 6 one hour sessions. Each session is limited to 15 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
Cost: ACC members - $5.00 to cover ACA insurance fee
Non ACC members - $30.00 for ACA insurance fee + 1 year ACC
membership
Bring: Boat, paddle, sprayskirt, helmet and PFD
A limited number of demo boats will be available courtesy of Louis & Clark Outfitters and Ozark Mountain Trading Co.
