Adventure kayaking course! September 12th

This course is all about boat control & feeling more comfortable on the water in your new kayak. By teaching you all the strokes including sculling, moving abeam, braces, forward, reverse, sweeps & much more. We also go over safety on the water. Wet exits, deep water reentry, medical, hyperthermia & hypothermia & all the dangers we need to keep ourselves out of while enjoying a great day on the water. Also the basics like unloading, loading & safely tying down our kayaks & much more.
This course will be held at Monte Ne cove on beaver lake. Bring plenty of drinking water, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, folding chair, kayak with float bags unless your kayak has water tight storage hatch, paddle & be ready to have a fun day on the water.
Starts at 9am & ends at 4pm
Special starting price at $55 public or $45 if you are a Arkansas canoe club member.


Many of our future paddlers go to the water without the knowledge of safe boating then have a bad experience & never wants to paddle again. It is so easy to go out boating without knowing what bad things could happen then it happens. This course is a great way to start preparing yourself for the great adventure ahead in paddle sports. It all starts with good paddle technique.
